Lit Lace InterfaceRESPONSIVE SCENERY FOR PERFORMANCES WITH A USER-FRIENDLY INTERFACE TO CONTROL LIGHTS AND SMART TEXTILES
The partnership will work on a solution to enable the seamless integration of smart textiles and set designs with new programmable display projection and visual effects to allow fully-synchronised lighting effects which can be controlled within existing theatre stage setups and immersive experiences. The idea is to create multiple fabric effects and options for artistic interpretation and performance application by integrating the fabric as part of a controlled lighting system, creating a holistic creative design system. The project will exploit the possibilities of digital craftmanship.

Sara Robertson and Sarah Taylor have been working together for 4 years on craft-based artistic approaches to exploring smart textiles through a deep understanding of material properties and traditional textile design.
