Hackamode – October 20th

On the last day of FashionTech Week Paris, around 60 students from various backgrounds in fashion design, IT, business and project management were brought together to participate at the Hackamode. Grouped into 12 teams of 5, the event saw students from an array of schools, including La Fabrique, Institut Francais de la Mode and Paris School of Business, work meticulously throughout the entire day to solve real-life problems designed by fashion and manufacturing companies.

The winning team designed an app based on the idea of building long-lasting relationships between visitors and exhibitors at relevant trade fairs. The challenge was proposed by organisors of the textile trade fair, Avantex, who chose the winning idea to ensure networking continues even after an event. Avantex saw so much potential in the app that they expect to implement it at the trade fair’s new edition in February 2018.

Participants of the Hackamode were also able to learn about the many benefits joining the WORTH community can bring, through coach and challenge creator, Maroussia Rebecq.

As founder of fun-fashion and accessory brand Andrea Crews, Maroussia took part in the WORTH pilot project to develop a range of backpacks with partner Lunatika, the Italian leather manufacturer. She was able to share her experience with those who attended the Hackamode, to help innovators of the future discover the support and values of WORTH Partnership Project.
